Oh, hi there! I am Samantha, welcome to my virtual safe space! My parents named me as such because it is the female variant of the Bible name, Samuel, which means “name of God” or “ God has heard”. But everyone I know calls me by my nicknames, “Sam” and “Tam”.

Since I was a kid, I have always been athletic, adventurous, and active. I am into sports such as Taekwondo, Tennis, and Soccer. Whenever I have some free time, I do my favorite hobbies, such as baking, watching movies, reading, writing poetry, and basically creating any form of art.

When I started joining radio broadcasting for campus journalism competitions from grade school to high school, I realized that I had a passion for broadcast journalism. That is why I took BA Communication in college to pursue my dream of becoming a news anchor such as the woman I look up to the most in the field — Christiane Amanpour.

One thing I have learned in my course is the significance of collaboration. Without the camaraderie of each team member, it will have a domino effect that could have a negative impact on any task. Thus, I strive to continue being a good team player and contribute as much as possible for the betterment of my team.

Every day, I remind myself of the famous mantra, “It’s always impossible until it’s done,” by Nelson Mandela. This quote gives me a gentle push to believe in myself and work hard to achieve my dreams.

Enchanté!
